Middle River Trails
Questions?

We have designed our website to provide complete information about the Ozark Historic Cabins experience and trail riding. We will be adding and changing pictures and information periodically to keep it interesting and up to date. If YOU have any ideas or pictures of your trail riding experience that you would like to share please email them to Marci and she will get them on the site! Don't forget to include names of people and horses, dates and location (if you know!)

As hard as we try to cover all the bases, we know it is hard to answer all the possible questions.

If you have any comments, suggestions or inquiries, please feel free to call

Your stay at Ozark Historic Cabins and Historic Farm House will create lasting memories as you ride your horse along some of the most scenic areas in the country. There are numerous trails that meander along the Middle Buffalo River, over amazing bluff lines with gorgeous views, beautiful meadows and hay fields. You may even come across a cave or two. There is also some incredible scenery a short distance from the cabins in the Richland Creek area. You will be in awe at the amazing scenery as you ride along beautiful waterfalls, bluffs and vistas.

If you have a passion for trail riding as we do, then you are always looking for new places to explore on your horse. A new adventure awaits you at our Historic Cabins and Historic Farm House. For those of your family or friends who may not ride there is plenty of hiking on the property or in the National Park. There is canoeing in the area. They are also welcome to fish the pond!

I guarantee that your stay at our cabins and the memories you make along the trails will be lasting ones for years to come. An adventure you will never forget. Ask me about your discount on your return visit! If you just want to take a short relaxing ride you will enjoy riding on the 130 acres behind the cabins. There are numerous logging roads that wind through the property and take you past the fishing pond with dock (yes, you can fish!) and meander through a pretty pine grove where you end up in hay fields with pretty views of the valley. Then return back to your cabin for a BBQ, relax on the porch with a refreshing drink.

I hope to soon have directions to specific trails and "Scenic Points" along the way, along with maps of the trails. (Anyone know how to us a GPS?) Anyone that has a GPS and carries it along with them as they ride and would like to "map" areas where they have been, are welcome to get that information to me and I will put it on the web site. Keep in mind that the the information needs to be pretty straight forward and easy to follow. The easiest way to go is to stay on the "designated" trails. But for those who like more adventure, you are welcome to share your stories. I'm sure we would all love to hear and see pictures of your adventures. Please remember to ride safe and be considerate of all whom you may encounter, whether it be hikers, those canoeing or your fellow horsemen and women. Also, keep it clean. Pack out what you pack in. Leave NO trace. As trail riders we all appreciate a clean trail!

Thank you for visiting our web site. We hope you join us in a stay at one of our unique "getaways" and bring your horses, friends and family. Jay and Marci Reno
